Book a Functional Medicine Consultation Online or in Athens
If you have seen specialists, completed the tests and still do not have a clear picture of what may be contributing to your symptoms, you are in the right place.
At Tsintavis Functional Medicine, we bring together two different professional perspectives for persistent, chronic and complex health concerns. Panagiotis Tsintavis brings the perspective of clinical nutrition and Functional Medicine, while Dr Varvara Zisimidou brings medical assessment grounded in Internal Medicine and a functional, systems-based perspective.
Working with us is not simply about having another consultation. We organize the bigger picture, identify what is actually worth investigating, build a clear plan and adjust it as your health changes.
Is this approach right for you?
Working with our team may be appropriate if:
- Your symptoms have persisted for months or years without a clear explanation.
- You have several health concerns or diagnoses and the overall picture has not yet been connected.
- Your laboratory results have been described as normal, but you still do not feel well.
- You have tried diets, treatments or supplements without meaningful or lasting progress.
- You are ready to take an active role and make gradual, realistic changes.
Start with a 15-minute Health Strategy Call
15-minute Health Strategy Call
If you are considering Premium One-on-One, the first step is a 15-minute Health Strategy Call.
We will briefly hear what is concerning you, explain how we would approach a case like yours and determine whether Premium One-on-One is the appropriate next step.
You do not need to decide in advance which practitioner you would ultimately work with. We can help guide that decision based on your situation, and you may work with one or both practitioners as your care evolves.
After booking, you will also receive our eBook, The Biochemical Terrain Approach: Blood Sugar, Sleep and Gut Health, together with a short educational email series introducing our approach.
Book Your 15-minute Health Strategy Call
The 15-minute Health Strategy Call is not a medical consultation, diagnosis or review of laboratory results.
What Premium One-on-One includes
If we determine during the Health Strategy Call that individual care may be useful, the next step is Premium One-on-One.
We begin with an in-depth initial consultation and then adapt the plan as your symptoms, laboratory findings and priorities change.
Premium One-on-One
- Initial consultation 120 minutes · €330. A detailed review of your health history, symptoms, nutrition, lifestyle and relevant laboratory findings.
- Follow-up consultations 50 minutes · €165. We assess your progress, review new information and adjust the plan according to how you are responding.
- Written recommendations Within 72 hours, you receive written recommendations and an individualized action plan so that you know what to do next and why.
- Between sessions For brief questions or clarification about your existing plan, you can message us through the patient portal.
- Testing Additional testing is considered when it can answer a specific clinical question, add useful information or help guide the next decision.
- Care rhythm During the more intensive phase, most patients see us approximately once per month for 3–6 months. As things become more stable, consultations usually become less frequent, with ongoing reviews often taking place every 6–12 months depending on individual needs.
- Format Available online internationally and in person in Athens.
- Availability Initial Premium One-on-One appointments are typically available approximately 4–5 weeks after the Health Strategy Call.
How we make decisions
Our approach is not to assume that more testing, more supplements or more dietary restrictions mean better care.
Testing should answer a question.
We start with your history, symptoms and the information already available, then choose additional testing when it can add useful information or help guide what we do next. Sometimes that also means telling you that a test is unlikely to add anything useful right now.
We test to answer a question — not to fill a report.
Foundations often come first.
Many of the first changes we make do not require you to buy anything. Meal structure, movement, sleep, light exposure and stress can all influence how the rest of the plan works. Order matters as much as content.
Cost and usefulness both matter.
We consider whether an intervention is likely to add enough useful information or clinical value to justify the time, effort and cost involved.
Dietary restrictions should have a purpose.
When restrictions are used, they have a clear reason and, where appropriate, a plan for reintroduction. The goal is not to keep making your diet smaller.
The plan should become simpler over time.
As your health becomes more stable, we may not only add things — we may reduce, remove or simplify what is no longer needed. The goal is a plan that becomes more targeted, practical and sustainable.
Who will you work with?
At Tsintavis Functional Medicine, clinical nutrition and a systems-based Functional Medicine approach are complemented, where appropriate, by medical assessment grounded in Internal Medicine.
Panagiotis Tsintavis, MSc, RD, FMCP
A Registered Dietitian with postgraduate training in Clinical Nutrition and a Functional Medicine certification from the Institute for Functional Medicine.
His work combines clinical nutrition with a systems-based Functional Medicine approach, with particular attention to the relationships between digestion, metabolism, hormones, immune function and lifestyle.
Dr Varvara Zisimidou, MD
An Internal Medicine physician trained in Germany, with extensive clinical experience including hospital-based medicine and the management of complex medical cases.
She combines medical and Internal Medicine assessment with a Functional and Integrative Medicine perspective, adding a broader medical lens when a case requires further clinical evaluation.
Working with both practitioners
Where appropriate, you may work with both practitioners so that each can contribute within their own professional scope while maintaining a shared understanding of your history and progress.
Each practitioner provides and invoices their own professional services independently.
Your next step
You do not need to know in advance whether Premium One-on-One is appropriate for you. That is exactly what we discuss during the 15-minute Health Strategy Call.
